Langham Partnership
Langham Preaching
Multi-level seminars in hermeneutics and homiletics for pastors in more than a hundred countries, taught by trainers from those same regions. After each seminar a pastor goes home and forms a preaching circle with neighbouring pastors and lay people, which is where the training continues.
Why this is listed
John Stott’s work, and it is indigenous rather than exported: local trainers, local languages, and a preaching circle that outlives the seminar. Listed for readers who may teach on it as much as for those who will attend.
How to start
- Open us.langham.org (opens an external site) and read what Langham Partnership says about itself before you read anything else.
- Confirm the cost and level fit: free, introductory, over years.
- Note the tradition — Interdenominational. It will shape what you are taught, and that is worth knowing going in.
- Put the first session in your calendar now. The gap between reading about study and doing it is a calendar entry.
