About

How listings work

How something gets onto Grain, and how it comes off.

  1. It is found

Most listings are found through churches: we look at the ministries a church publicly supports. Others are suggested by readers.

  2. It is checked

The link has to work and go where it says. The organization has to fit the statement of faith and what we list.

  3. It is listed

New listings start as Provisional. A listing becomes Verified once it has been reviewed in full. Every listing shows the date it was last checked.

  4. It is kept up to date

Links are re-checked, and anyone can flag a listing. No account is needed.

  5. It can be removed

A listing comes down if it stops fitting, if the program closes, or if the organization asks.

Grain is independent

  • No ads, no sponsored listings, and no paid placement.
  • Every link goes straight to the organization’s own site.
  • No selling or sharing of anyone’s contact details.
