Charles Simeon Trust

Simeon Trust — Workshops on Biblical Exposition

Workshops, in person and online, where you bring a passage, prepare an outline, and have it taken apart in a small group by other preachers. Plenary sessions cover the principles; the small group is where the work happens, and partial attendance is not allowed.

Why this is listed

Preaching conferences let you sit and admire someone. This one makes you produce an outline and be corrected on it in front of peers, which is uncomfortable and is the only part that changes how anyone preaches. The price is deliberately kept where a bivocational pastor can reach it.

How to start

  1. Open simeontrust.org (opens an external site) and read what Charles Simeon Trust says about itself before you read anything else.
  2. Confirm the cost and level fit: low cost, intermediate, over weeks.
  3. Note the tradition — Broadly evangelical. It will shape what you are taught, and that is worth knowing going in.
  4. Put the first session in your calendar now. The gap between reading about study and doing it is a calendar entry.
