Christian Medical & Dental Associations

Take your licence on a clinic team

Global Health Outreach sends short-term clinical teams — physicians, dentists, nurses, pharmacists, and non-medical helpers — to run clinics with a local church or partner in the host country. Teams usually run one to two weeks, with countries and dates posted a year ahead.

Why this is listed

Because a professional association runs it, teams are staffed with licensed clinicians and briefed on the ethics of short-term clinical work — which is precisely where medical mission trips usually go wrong. Non-clinicians are welcome and genuinely needed for triage and pharmacy.

How to start

  1. Open cmda.org (opens an external site) and read what Christian Medical & Dental Associations says about itself before you read anything else.
  2. Check the time it asks for: weeks.
  3. Look at the filings below, then decide. Numbers are context, not a verdict.
  4. Tell your church. Going out is rarely meant to be done alone.
