Put something forward

Tell us about a ministry, course, or organization you think belongs here. A person reads every submission. Most of what is sent in is not listed, and that is the point.

What Grain lists

Yes

  • Organizations you can serve with or support, with public accounts.
  • Study, seminary, catechesis, languages, and apologetics.
  • Free and paid alike, as long as the cost is stated plainly on their site.
  • Small and local, not only large and national.

No

  • Individual fundraising pages.
  • Products, merchandise, and conference tickets.
  • Anything whose primary work is political campaigning.
  • Sites that will not say who runs them or what they believe.

What it costs

Nothing. Being listed is free, and no position on a page is for sale.

Submitting your own work

Welcome, and it does not count against you. The form asks for your relationship to the resource and we publish that on the listing, so a reader knows where it came from. What we will not do is take your description as given. We write listings in our own words.

What review involves

  • The doctrinal floor. We read the organization’s own statement of faith against ours, and record the tradition it sits in. Alignment is descriptive, not a ranking. A listing is not an endorsement of every position an organization holds.
  • A live link. A reviewer opens it, checks it is what it claims to be, and finds the page where a reader actually starts.
  • Public filings. For a US nonprofit we pull the Form 990 against the EIN and look at standing, program spend, and governance. An organization outside the US, or one that is not a registered nonprofit, is judged on whatever it publishes instead.
  • A dated verification. Every listing carries the date it was last checked, so you can see when it went stale.

See what we list before you submit.

How long it takes

Two to four weeks, sometimes longer. Grain is reviewed by people in the hours they have, not by a queue that clears itself overnight. We write back either way, including when we decline, and we say why. Nothing is published on submission.

The resource

What you are putting forward, and where a reader would start.

What it is called, as it calls itself.

Which side of Grain

New Grain is ways to get involved. Ripened Harvest is ways to grow deeper. If it could sit in both, pick the one a reader would look in first.

The body that actually runs it, not a parent brand.

A full URL, including https://. Deep-link to where a reader begins if the homepage buries it.

Two or three sentences. Plain description, not a pitch.

You

We only write to you about this submission. Your name and email are not published.

So a reviewer can come back with questions.

Submitting your own work is welcome. We publish this on the listing, so say it plainly.

Nothing is published on submission. A reviewer reads it first.
