Serge

Apprentice for a year with Serge

Serge fields teams in roughly two dozen countries and runs one- and two-year apprenticeships alongside them. An apprentice carries real work — mercy ministry, church planting, campus work — under a supervisor, with weekly discipleship written into the schedule rather than added on.

Why this is listed

One of very few structured on-ramps that is neither a two-week trip nor an irreversible career move, and the grace-centred formation material is used well past Serge's own teams. Reformed in doctrine and open about it, which matters if you are not.

How to start

  1. Open serge.org (opens an external site) and read what Serge says about itself before you read anything else.
  2. Check the time it asks for: months.
  3. Look at the filings below, then decide. Numbers are context, not a verdict.
  4. Tell your church. Going out is rarely meant to be done alone.
