Mission Aviation Fellowship

Fly or maintain aircraft with MAF

MAF flies light aircraft into remote airstrips across Africa, Asia, and Latin America, carrying patients, church workers, and supplies where there are no usable roads. It recruits pilots who are also certified mechanics, along with avionics technicians and IT staff.

Why this is listed

The entry bar is specific and published — pilots generally need a commercial licence plus airframe and powerplant certification — so you can tell within five minutes whether you qualify, which is rare in skilled-service listings. If you do not, the technical and IT roles are worth a look.

How to start

  1. Open maf.org (opens an external site) and read what Mission Aviation Fellowship says about itself before you read anything else.
  2. Check the time it asks for: years.
  3. Look at the filings below, then decide. Numbers are context, not a verdict.
  4. Tell your church. Going out is rarely meant to be done alone.
